Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room, maintaining a sterile field and preparing instruments and supplies for procedures. This role requires knowledge of aseptic techniques, ability to lift and move equipment, and compliance with safety standards; no prior experience is required.

A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months is expected, and completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques used in the operating room.
• Basic computer skills and healthcare environment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, supplies and equipment for surgical procedures and assist as needed.
• Maintain sterile field, assist the surgeon, and anticipate needs during surgery.
• Mobilize and transport patients and equipment as required.
• Ensure environmental disinfection and safety within the operating room.
• Follow department policies and report equipment issues promptly.
