Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Oshkosh, WI seeks a Surgical Technologist to ensure a clean, safe operating room and aseptic preparation for procedures. You will anticipate surgeons’ needs, pass instruments, and assist as Second Assistant as needed in a fast-paced OR.

Qualifying candidates will have a Surgical Technology program, BLS within 6 months, and the ability to handle diverse cases. No prior experience is required; strong teamwork and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• No prior experience required.
• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in the preparation of materials, supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient operating room.
• Assist as Second Assistant as necessary during procedures.
• Notify staff of equipment and supply problems.
• Transport patients and/or equipment and supplies.
• Maintain and prepare specialty carts and equipment, ensuring sterility and readiness.
