Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. in Aurora, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in a fast-paced hospital environment. You will prepare sterile fields, pass instruments, and assist surgeons to maintain a sterile environment.

Must complete an accredited Surgical Technology program. Basic Life Support is required within 6 months unless exempted. No prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques for preparing materials, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment used in the operating room.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Set up the operating room for each case and move equipment as needed.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies; hold retractors as required.
• Maintain a sterile, dry, unobstructed field and monitor aseptic technique.
• Transport patients and/or equipment and supplies safely.
• Monitor equipment condition and coordinate repairs if needed.
