Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in the preparation and support of procedures in a fast-paced operating room.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, assisting with gowning and gloving, preparing drapes, and passing instruments as needed. The role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program and a willingness to obtain BLS certification if not already current.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• No experience required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in the preparation of materials, supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and assist in passing instruments during procedures.
• Set up operating room and move equipment as needed.
• Act as Second Assistant when required.
• Transports patients and equipment.
• Ensure safety and environmental disinfection in the operating room.
