Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to assist in preparing the operating room, maintain sterile fields, and provide instrumentation to the surgeon during procedures.

You will care for the operative patient before, during, and after surgery. The role requires one year of OR scrub experience in multiple surgical specialties, graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, and certification with a recognized body.

Qualifications

• One year OR scrub experience in orthopedics, neuro, general, gynecology, robotics, or spine.
• Trauma OR scrub experience preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program and successful certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment and operating rooms for each procedure.
• Assist in sterile field and provide instrumentation to surgeon as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe operating room suite for surgical patients.

Skills

One year OR scrub experience

Trauma experience preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED

Surgical Technologist program completed

Certification exam passed
