Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. seeks a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room teams. You will assist surgeons, scrub and prepare instruments, and help ensure sterile conditions under the supervision of physicians and registered nurses.

The role involves setting up the sterile field, passing instruments, maintaining instrument counts, and supporting patient care from pre-op to post-op in a fast-paced environment. Experience with OR procedures and Basic Life Support is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited surgical technologist program or equivalent training.
• Prefer 1–2 years clinical experience in an operating room setting; 0–2 years acceptable.
• Must be certified in Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures.
• Set up sterile field and assist with passing instruments and supplies.
• Follows regulations when attending to patients and performs pre-procedure skin prep.
• Performs safety checks and ensures equipment is functioning properly.
• Assists with patient transfer, positioning, and draping for procedures.
• Maintains inventory, decontamination, sterilization and quality testing related to sterilization.
