Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Support Technician for the Round Rock, TX operating room. The full-time role includes preparing spaces before surgeries, turnover after procedures, and ensuring necessary supplies are stocked.

Responsibilities cover OR surface cleaning, instrument prep, sterile supply handling, and on-call duties as needed. A healthcare background with basic multitasking skills is valued.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of healthcare-related experience.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clean surfaces and equipment in OR and decontaminate as needed.
• Transport patients, lab samples, and supplies.
• Manage inventory by restocking supplies and ordering as needed.
• Check supplies for surgeries and restock case carts as needed.
• Open sterile supplies for procedures under clinician supervision.
• Assist with surgical prep and instrument checks, including flash sterilization tests.
• React to emergencies and complete on-call duties quickly.
