Job summary

St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to assist in preparing the operating room and equipment, maintain sterile fields, and provide instrumentation to the surgeon. You will care for patients before, during, and after surgery.

The role requires OR scrub experience and a completed Surgical Technologist program with certification; BLS certification is also expected by policy.

Qualifications

• One year of operating room scrub experience in orthopedics, neuro, general, gynecology, robotics, spine (required).
• Previous OR scrub experience in trauma (preferred).
• High school graduate or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program and successful certification exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cleaning and preparation of the operating room suite and equipment.
• Maintain sterile field and provide instrumentation to the surgeon.
• Care for the operative patient before, during, and after surgery.
