Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of surgical technician experience in outpatient or hospital setting.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification.
• State registration or credential where required by state law.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, surgical instrumentation, aseptic technique, and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and set up sterile field per surgeon's preference card.
• Pass instruments, sponges, sutures during procedures while maintaining sterility.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and room turnover with attention to safety and infection control.
