Job summary

Advocate Health Care is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team in Charlotte, NC. The role supports aseptic technique, instrument handling, and room turnover for neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, and robotics cases.

High standards of patient care and teamwork are essential. Requirements include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program, NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and 5 years of OR experience with ST III qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology; military training in surgical tech acceptable.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required.
• 5 years of OR experience; 2 years in neurosurgery/spine/CT/vascular/robotics preferred; ST III qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aseptic technique and assist in surgical procedures.
• Assist in obtaining, organizing supplies and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; support room turnover and setup.
• Support RN circulator in patient prep and specimen handling; ensure proper disposal and labeling.
• Participate in specialized procedures such as neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, robotics.
