Job summary

Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI, is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will assist during surgical procedures, prepare instruments, maintain sterile technique, and support the surgical staff to meet patient care goals.

The role requires at least 1 year of surgical experience, a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent, and BLS. Schedule includes 8-hour shifts with variable hours (0630–2100) and at least 4–5 shifts per 6 weeks; weekend shifts are not

Standard Hours: 8.00

Shift: Shift 2

Shift Hours: Variable shifts between 0630–2100, based on departmental needs. Scheduling Requirement: Minimum of 4–5 shifts per 6-week scheduling period. Orientation: 0630–1500, with a commitment of 2–3 shifts per week until orientation is completed. Weekends/Holidays: Weekend shifts and observed holidays are not required. On-Call: No on-call shifts required.

Job Summary:

As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required. Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

LICENSURE REQUIRED:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist. Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff, or above, with a date of hire or adjusted date of hire prior to 8/1/2020 are not required to be certified, as long as they meet the criteria in the job description. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
