Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the perioperative team in Milwaukee, WI. You will support surgeons, scrub and circulating duties, and help ensure optimal patient outcomes throughout the operative process.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year of surgical experience, CST certification, and BLS within 90 days of hire. Schedule involves 3x12 shifts and potential on-call requirements; a .9 FTE is noted.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patients and ensure goals are met.
• Assist during surgical procedures and maintain sterile environment.
• Support postoperative recovery and patient safety throughout perioperative care.

Job Summary:

As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required. Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist. Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff, or above, with a date of hire or adjusted date of hire prior to 8/1/2020 are not required to be certified, as long as they meet the criteria in the job description. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
