Job summary

Froedtert Health in Wisconsin seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist the surgical team in achieving patient goals and hospital mission. The role supports a variety of procedures within a busy operating room, emphasizing precision, teamwork, and patient safety.

Applicants need at least 1 year of surgical experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a Surgical Technologist program. BLS certification within 90 days is required.

Schedule:

0600 - 1430 Monday - Friday. Call shifts are on a rotational basis. Weekends and Holidays are on a call shift basis.

Job Summary:

As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required. Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
