Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to support the surgical team in our Texas facility. The role involves scrubbing into procedures, preparing the operative field, and ensuring instrument readiness under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates will have CST certification and formal training, plus familiarity with sterile techniques and infection control. This position emphasizes teamwork, safety compliance, and efficient OR support.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Experience: Less than 1 Year
• Certification/Registration: CST must be current
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the operative site and instruments.
• Assist with draping and positioning the patient.
• Maintain instrument tables and ensure correct counts.
• Identify damaged or incomplete trays and rectify discrepancies.
• Ensure sterile field and proper functioning of instruments during procedures.
