Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to assist the surgical team in procedures under a Registered Nurse's supervision. You will prepare instruments, maintain the sterile field, and ensure all equipment is functioning and ready for use.

Responsibilities include setting up the OR, performing surgical counts, and assisting with draping, specimen handling, and post-case instrument processing. BLS and CST certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• BLS certification at hire or within 30 days.
• Current CST certification by NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team by preparing and organizing instruments.
• Set up the operating room and ensure sterile setup.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass sterile supplies to team.
• Perform surgical counts according to policies.
• Disassemble and decontaminate instruments after procedures.
