Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of infection prevention and regulatory sterilization standards.
• Knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique in surgery.
• Understanding of human anatomy and surgical procedures; ability to assist surgeons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain instrument tables and supplies for each procedure.
• Scrub into surgery and assist with draping, positioning, and passing sterile supplies.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments, equipment, and handling of specimens.
• Disassemble and decontaminate instruments after procedures and maintain sterility across cases.
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe operating room environment.
