Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for night and part-time scheduling at the Round Rock Medical Center. The role supports the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and ensuring equipment readiness throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates will have formal CST certification and a CAAHEP-accredited program, with strong infection control knowledge and teamwork skills to deliver safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technologist program.
• Certification as CST by NBSTSA or NCCT/competent equivalent.
• Formal surgical technology training in U.S. military or Public Health Service.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team by preparing instruments and supplies.
• Scrub in with the surgeon and maintain aseptic technique.
• Set up operating room according to procedure schedules and needs.
• Maintain sterile instrument tables and verify instrument counts.
• Assist with draping, positioning and specimen handling during procedures.
• Ensure proper cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and storage of instruments.
