Job summary

Memorial Regional Medical Center, part of Bon Secours, seeks a Surgical Technologist II to assist in the operating room. You will prepare the OR, assemble supplies and equipment, and support the surgical team throughout procedures.

Requirements include an Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology, plus BLS certification and CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT credentials. One year of experience is required; VA licensure as CST if residing in Virginia.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology (required).
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist (required).
• BLS – American Heart Association certification.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), NBSTA, TS-C, or NCCT certification required.
• Virginia license/registration as CST if residing in Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for operative and invasive procedures.
• Provide supplies to the surgical team during procedures and maintain aseptic technique.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator.
• Prepare and perform surgical skin prep as indicated.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the OR.
• Demonstrate understanding of Advance Directives.
