Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room, preparing the OR with routine supplies, instruments, and equipment for aseptic procedures.

The role requires an Associate degree or vocational certification in Surgical Technology and one year of experience. Certification in CST/TS-C/NCCT is required, with BLS, and ability to work within a fast-paced surgical team environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Surgical Technology or vocational certification
• Certification in CST/TS-C/NCCT or equivalent required
• One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for operative/invasive procedures
• Provide supplies to the surgical team during procedures
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout operations
• Prepare skin prep and assist with room clean-up after procedures
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains, and packing to circulator
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment including MIS, laparoscopy, and robotics
