Job summary

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to assist surgeons and nurses in the operating room. You will prepare the OR, assemble supplies, and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.

Requirements include an Associates degree or vocational certification in Surgical Technology, BLS, and CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT certification, with Virginia CST eligibility if residing in VA. One year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology required.
• Must hold BLS from American Heart Association.
• Certification as CST/NBSTA/TS-C/NCCT required; Virginia CST is required if residing in VA.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies and equipment for operative procedures.
• Provide sterile supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique throughout the operation.
• Report implanted devices, catheters, drains and packing to circulator.
• Assist with pre- and post-procedure cleaning of the OR.
