Job summary

You will assist in preparing sterile fields, pass instruments, and support surgeons during a variety of procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficiency. The role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS certification, and at least two years of experience in the OR, with strong aseptic technique and multi-specialty proficiency.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Proficient in aseptic surgical techniques used in preparation of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties (minimum two).
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate physician needs and respond to changes.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, safe and efficient operating area and maintains a sterile field.
• Assists with gowning, gloving, draping, and instrument handling.
• Functions as first/second assistant as needed under surgeon guidance.
• Transports patients and equipment; communicates equipment issues.
• Prevents breaks in aseptic technique and maintains equipment readiness.
