Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. in Oklahoma City seeks a Surgical Technologist to support sterile technique and assist in the operating room.

You will set up the room, prepare instruments, pass supplies to surgeons, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.

Educational requirement is completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program; BLS must be obtained within 6 months. No prior experience is required, and strong teamwork and communication are valued.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• BLS certification within 6 months is required.
• No experience required.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist in gowning, gloving, draping and passing instruments.
• Set up and maintain sterile field and assist in patient positioning and transport.
• Observe aseptic technique and report breaks or issues.
• Operate and handle operating room equipment as needed.
