Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 for a full-time day shift in College Station. The role supports the surgical team by preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and assisting with patient positioning and specimen handling.

The position requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program and CST certification, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. BLS is required at hire or within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Active BLS certification at hire or within 30 days.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) must be maintained.
• Experience: minimum of 1 year recommended for basic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Scrub into surgery and prepare instruments prior to the surgeon.
• Prepare and maintain the instrument table in an organized way.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Count and verify sponges, sharps, and instruments per policy.
• Assist with draping and positioning of the patient and specimens.
