Job summary

Shields Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prepare the operating room, sterilize equipment, and anticipate the surgeon's needs before and during procedures. You will scrub in on various surgeries, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety and efficiency.

This role requires CST certification within 1 year of program completion, and prior surgical technician experience is preferred. Daytime hours, no on-call shifts, and benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent.
• CST certification required within 1 year of program completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile environment in the OR.
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
• Perform counts of instruments, sharps and sponges.
• Decontaminate, clean, and sterilize equipment between cases.
• Assist in OR setup and turnover.
• Maintain patient safety and organize supplies for efficient case progress.
