Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2. The role involves assisting the surgical team intraoperatively, preparing the operative field, and ensuring instrument readiness under RN supervision.

Required: Grad of an accredited program, CST certification, BLS, and ability to meet infection control standards. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Current BLS certification or prepared to obtain.
• Certification as CST by NBSTSA or equivalent.
• Experience in sterile processing and OR support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Discuss special needs with the surgeon before surgery.
• Prepare operative site and instruments for procedures.
• Set up and organize the operating room and instrument tables.
• Ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments and supplies.
• Assist with draping, positioning, and passing instruments to the team.
• Receive specimens and manage sterile field per protocol.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of the OR and equipment.
