Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room by selecting and opening sterile supplies according to procedure and physician preference card.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and maintains sterile technique during procedures.
• Performs surgical counts and ensures equipment readiness.
• Assists with turnover and transport of patients and specimens as needed.
• Orients students and staff; participates in specialty surgery education activities.
