Job summary

Boston Medical Center is hiring a Surgical Technologist II in Towson, MD, offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The ideal candidate will assist in the operating room, promoting patient safety and effective surgical procedures while collaborating with medical staff.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a CAAHP accredited training program for Operating Room Technicians.
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Prior experience preferred, but new graduates are accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room with sterile supplies and equipment.
• Passes instruments to surgeons and assists during procedures.
• Performs surgical counts in accordance with policy.

Independently scrubs basic and complex procedures

Establishes and maintains appropriate sterile technique

Demonstrates communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

CAAHP accredited training program
