GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD seeks a Surgical Technologist II to join the operating room team. The ST collaborates with nursing, anesthesia, and other surgical personnel to maintain a safe, sterile environment and support physician procedures; strong critical thinking and teamwork are required.

New graduates accepted; NBSTSA or NCCT certification preferred; a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited OR technician program and NBSTSA/NCCT certification.
• Analytical and procedural skills for operating room setup and sterile technique.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment and support team needs.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare operating room by opening sterile supplies and set up per physician card.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist surgeons during procedures.
• Pass instruments, monitor supplies, and assist with specimen handling.
• Assist with turnover and equipment cleaning after surgeries.
• Orient students and staff and participate in process-improvement initiatives.
