Job summary

Premier Surgery Center in Brunswick, GA is seeking a full-time Surgical Technician to support the operating room, prepare instrumentation, and assist surgeons during procedures. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• NBSTA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room for procedures, assemble supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Assist in cleaning rooms between procedures and at end of schedule.
• Monitor and maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain proficiency in asepsis standards (AORN/AAMI).
• Participate in sponge, needle, and instrument counts with the circulating nurse.
• Preserve specimens received during surgery.
• Report unusual occurrences or equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Contribute to a positive team climate in the department.
• Assist physician with procedures and wound care as needed.
