Qualifications

• Completion of a CAAHP-accredited training program for Operating Room Technicians.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification as Surgical Technologist.
• New graduates accepted; prior experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room by selecting and opening sterile supplies per procedure and physician card.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist surgeons during procedures; pass instruments and assist with cases.
• Perform surgical counts and ensure correct specimen handling per policy.
• Assist with turnover and decontamination of instruments and rooms.
• Orient students, staff, and other health professionals; participate in educational activities.
