Job summary

UCHealth Eastview Medical Center in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist to facilitate safe, efficient surgical procedures. The role is onsite only, with day shifts and a pay range of $27.61–$41.41 per hour, dependent on experience.

The position requires a minimum high school diploma or GED (or military training), State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration, and BLS. At least 6 months of surgical tech experience or graduation from an accredited program is

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking and decisive judgment in fast-paced surgical environments.
• Education: minimum high school diploma or GED or Military trained.
• Licensure: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration; BLS Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures equipment/instruments are in good working order; assists with patient preparation, positioning and draping.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and tracks instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for laboratory delivery.
• Demonstrates ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
