Job summary

UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the PVH Operating Room. This full-time, onsite position offers a flex shift and a pay range of $27.61–$41.41 per hour, based on experience.

The role entails preparing the operating room, assisting with patient positioning, passing instruments, and specimen handling under supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, Surgical Technologist registration, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
• Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. BLS Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum Experience: 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS or CPR card must be valid through hire date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order and assists with patient positioning.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and tracks instruments and supplies.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, decisive judgement and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
