UCHealth Pikes Peak Reg Hospital in Woodland Park, CO is seeking a PRN Surgical Tech to support the Operating Room. The role is onsite with day shift responsibilities, offering a pay range of $27.61 to $41.41 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include preparing the operating suite, maintaining equipment, assisting with patient positioning and instrument passing, and handling specimens. A valid Surgical Tech registration and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or Military trained.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration and BLS.
• 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipmentand supplies.
• Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passesinstruments to physician during surgery. Continuallyaccounts for number andlocationof instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Education
