Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or military training) required.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration required.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• Minimum 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• BLS/CPR card valid through start date and 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Assist with preparation, transportation, positioning and draping of patients; ensure instruments are within reach.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and track counts of instruments and supplies.
• Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Maintain composure and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
