Job summary

UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center in Estes Park, CO, seeks a Surgical Technologist for an onsite PRN role in the EVMC Surgery department. Days shifts, 0.00 hours per pay period. Pay ranges from $27.61 to $41.41 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include preparing the operating suite, passing instruments, and handling specimens. Requires HS diploma, BLS, and Surgical Tech credential with at least 6 months of experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or Military training.
• State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Minimum 6 months Surgical Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure good working order of equipment and instruments; assist with patient prep, transport, positioning, and draping.
• Pass instruments to the physician during surgery; count and track instruments and supplies.
• Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
• Maintain critical thinking, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
