Job summary

UCHealth Estes Valley Medical Center in Estes Park, CO is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the EVMC Surgery department. This onsite, days shift PRN position pays $27.61–$41.41 per hour, dependent on experience.

You will prepare the operating room, assist with patient positioning, pass instruments, handle specimens, and ensure equipment readiness. Requires HS diploma, state Surgical Tech registration, BLS, and 6 months of experience or program completion.

Qualifications

• Education and licensure requirements must be met before start date.
• BLS certification must be valid through 60 days after hire.
• Minimum 6 months surgical tech experience or graduation from a program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Ensures equipment and instruments are in good working order and assists with patient positioning and draping.
• Passes instruments to the physician during surgery and tracks instrument and supply location.
• Receives and processes specimens for laboratory delivery.
• Performs with critical thinking, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
