Qualifications

• Technical school graduate of surgical technology or practical nursing program is required.
• Associate degree in surgical technology or applied sciences required.
• 0-2 years of operating room surgical technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical cases, with correct sterile technique.
• Assist surgical team by passing instruments and supplies efficiently.
• Ensure sterilization and inspection of instruments.
• Perform sponge, needle, instrument counts for patient safety.
• Assist in patient positioning, draping, and transfers.
• Maintain and update supplies and instruments for procedures.
• Sterilize and reprocess instruments according to protocols.
• Restock supplies and prep OR for subsequent cases.
• Adhere to infection prevention standards and policies.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with all policies.
