Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the team. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will assist in preparing the surgical field and support the surgeon during procedures.

This full-time day shift (Four 10-hour shifts) runs 7:00 am to 5:30 pm EST with on-call and holiday rotation. You will contribute to room turnover, training, and maintaining sterile technique in a fast-paced operating room.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program or nurse graduate with surgical tech exposure.
• BLS healthcare provider certification required.
• Current Ohio license if nursing graduate (LPN).

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting goals for the surgery department, including room turnover and first-case starts.
• Assists in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintains a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintains sterile techniques.
