Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician to work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting the surgical team during operative procedures at Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Ohio.

The role requires graduation from a surgical technology program and NBSTSA/NCCT certification, plus BLS. Full-time position with day shift, on-call and holiday rotation, and opportunities to participate in comprehensive benefits and professional development.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a surgical technology program, holds a certificate of surgical technology through NBSTSA/NCCT or graduate of a school of practical nursing.
• Licensure: If a graduate of a school of practical nursing, current license in good standing as a practical nurse in Ohio.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting goals and initiatives for surgery department, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assists in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintains a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintains sterile techniques.
