Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a surgical technology program or equivalent.
• Licensure: If PN graduate, must hold active Ohio PN license.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting goals for the surgery department, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assist in training/orientation of associates as directed by Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a safe environment for the patient and sterile techniques.
• Assist the surgeon during operative procedures under RN direction.

NBSTSA/NCCT surgical tech certificate

State of Ohio Practical Nurse license
