Job summary

The Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio seeks a Surgical Technician to assist operating room teams under RN supervision. You will set up the surgical field, maintain sterile technique, and support surgeons during procedures, with three 12-hour shifts and on-call responsibilities.

Ideal candidates are graduates of a surgical technology program, hold NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and possess BLS. This position offers comprehensive benefits, day-one coverage, and a supportive, mission-driven work

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program, NBSTSA/NCCT certificate, or graduate of a practical nursing program.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting surgery department goals, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assist in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintain sterile techniques.

Education

Graduate of a surgical technology program

Certificate of surgical technology (NBSTSA/NCCT)

Graduate of a school of practical nursing

BLS healthcare provider certification
