Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Surgical Technician to support surgeons under RN supervision, set up and maintain the surgical field, and assist during operative procedures.

Join a team focused on patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and ongoing education. On-call and holiday rotation are required, with a 12-hour day/evening shift pattern at Mount Carmel St. Ann's in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program and certified (NBSTSA/NCCT) or graduate of a school of practical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting goals for surgery department; such as, but not limited to room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assists in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintains a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintains sterile techniques.
