Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician to support the operating room team. You will assist with instrument handling, case setup, and aseptic technique across diverse procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include prepping and draping, maintaining back tables, and communicating with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow. CORt certification or eligibility is required, with preference for OR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Operating room Technician Program, or equivalent preparation.
• One year of Operating Room experience preferred.
• Must be CORt certified or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Prepares case set-up within an acceptable timeframe and scrubs, gowns, and gloves according to procedure.
• Maintains strict aseptic technique throughout procedures and assists with prepping and draping.
• Maintains organized back table and communicates with the team to ensure smooth progression of the procedure.
• Performs surgical counts according to MAH policy/procedure and promotes electro-surgical safety.
• Conserves supplies and equipment, respects cost and environmental safety, and protects patient privacy.
