Job summary

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills required.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a high-volume environment.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Current surgical technician certification required for hires after 30 June 2013; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and collaborate with the team to prepare the OR and sterile field.
• Prepare and maintain sterile supplies and equipment for procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens and instrumentation; maintain aseptic technique.
• Assist with patient positioning and intraoperative tasks under supervision.
• Support quality improvement, education, and emergency preparedness in the OR.
