Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support perioperative care in the operating room. The role involves preparing equipment, maintaining sterile fields, assisting with specimens, and helping with inventory under RN supervision.

Candidates must have an accredited surgical technology program (or equivalent military/hospital training) and NBSTSA/NCCT certification, plus BLS. This full-time position offers benefits and potential career growth within BayCare.

• Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Position Description: Certified Surgical Technologist

• The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.
• Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field.
• Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc.
• Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.
• May assist in patient transport.

Position Details

Location: St Josephs North

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:30am - 5:00pm

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes

Requirements
