Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for full-time assignment at St Josephs North in the Lutz area of Florida. The role supports perioperative care under RN supervision, maintains sterile field, and assists with equipment, supplies, and patient transport.

Qualified candidates hold an accredited Surgical Technology program, NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and BLS, with a high school diploma or equivalent. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
• Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities

Title Description

Position Description: Certified Surgical Technologist

• The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.
• Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field.
• Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc.
• Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.
• May assist in patient transport.

Position Details:

Location: St Josephs North

Status: Full Time, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:30am - 5:00pm

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes

Requirements:
