BayCare in Largo, FL is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services team. You will provide technical support in the perioperative period under RN supervision, ensuring a sterile field and proper preparation of equipment and patients.

This full-time, day-shift role requires completing an accredited Surgical Technology program (or 5 years acute care experience), NBSTSA or NCCT certification, BLS, and a high school diploma.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
• Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with AHA or Red Cross.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Prepare equipment, instruments, supplies, and operating room; maintain sterile field.
• Assist with patient positioning and transport as needed.
• Coordinate preparation or disposal of specimens and perioperative materials.

Title DescriptionPosition Description: Certified Surgical Technologist

• The Surgical Technologist is a member of the health care team who performs technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of a RN according to accepted clinical standards of care.
• Prepares equipment, instruments, supplies, operating room, and patients to ensure sterile field.
• Coordinates preparation or disposal of specimens, etc.
• Assists with inventory of sterile supplies.
• May assist in patient transport.

Requirements:

• Completion of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program OR completion of a military or hospital-based training program with 5 years acute care Surgical Tech experience.
• Surgical Tech Certification from NBSTSA or NCCT
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
