Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join the Operating Room team in Seattle, WA. The role involves scrubbed or assisting duties under RN supervision, with diverse shift options and a focus on safety and patient care.

The ideal candidate will possess an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certificate, BLS, and the ability to maintain sterile technique and support perioperative care. Sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance are available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Licenses/certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA.
• Specialized knowledge: asepsis, sterile technique, anatomy/physiology, pharmacology, basic electronics/tech
• Experience: ability to scrub basic procedures and assist with positioning and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile environment and asepsis during procedures.
• Coordinates supplies/equipment for efficiency and cost control.
• Maintains safe environment for patients and staff; adheres to policies.
• Charges for equipment and supplies; participates in room turnover.
• Performs sterilization, disinfection, and documentation as required.
• Scrubs for medical students, residents, and other learners; prepares OR for next patient.
