Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team across intraoperative roles under RN supervision. The role offers flexible shifts and is a key part of delivering safe patient care in a dynamic perioperative environment.

Full-time and part-time positions include a $5,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. Education includes an Associate’s Degree or Surgical Technology certification with BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Independent scrubbing of basic surgical procedures.
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and sterile setup.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology relevant to perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile environment and proper aseptic technique.
• Assist with supplies, equipment, and room turnover.
• Position patient and assist with instrumentation during procedures.
• Perform sterilization and documentation per policy.
• Scrub for medical students, residents, and other learners.
