Job summary

Arnot Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the Surgical Department under the supervision of the RN and Unit Director. The role involves preparing operating rooms, assisting with patient positioning, draping, and sterile techniques, and maintaining instrument counts.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited Surgical Technology program, current credentialing, and BLS within 90 days. The position offers standard benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of surgical technology and credentialing must be maintained within one year of hire.
• Surgical technician experience as stated above, graduate of accredited school or military equivalent or LPN with previous surgical experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling and setting up operating rooms with supplies, instruments, and equipment; prepare scrub table and mayo stand.
• Assist licensed practitioners in patient positioning, skin prep, draping, and surgical prep per OR standards.
• Maintain correct counts of sponges, needles, and instruments; report discrepancies per policies.
• Support the RN and surgeon during procedures and in emergency situations as needed.
• Perform duties across areas of the Surgical Department and maintain safety and quality in daily work.
